Jul 16, 2018 · As soon as I bought my 2014 it threw a 0299 and had the turbo replaced but I have an LT 1.4 gas. The P0299 is a generic under boost on the turbo regardless of the engine. I would take back to dealer. Like. This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. May 16, 2020 · My Chevy Cruze is constantly getting a check engine light for P0299 with the car still driving relatively fine, will go off after about 50 miles ish and will come back on randomly sometime days, weeks, sometimes hours later. I’ve had a few mechanics look at it but can’t find anything wrong.

Are you using a good 5W-30 dexos1™ approved oil? Looking at the manual, if the temperature goes below 20F, you may need a 0W-30 oil for better cold starts. I opened up the air filter box and cleaned it out, inspected the filter and MAF sensor, looked for any signs of damaged electrical wiring or hoses, etc. Decided to go ahead and order a MAF sensor and new air filter (not sure when it was changed last).
