There is a lot of stuff I like about Erie, but it has been really hard to meet people in my age group. And a note about Pittsburgh, where I live for the time being- The Yinzers- the old people here that were born and raised- definitely have an Appalachia like culture, yet urbanized.Tickles deli on Westlake Rd. has some bangin subs, and they are very well priced! Gordon's meat market has some of the best meat in Erie. They can be pricey on some items, but you can't beat the quality! I've personally been going there for 25 years now. Erie brewing company West/Beachwood cafe has some bangin food, and some damn good poutine!
