The first MH-18a I got came with the D200 and shipped with the EN-EL3e. The MH-18 and EN-EL3 only have two contacts, whereas the MH-18a and EN-EL3e have a third contact. IIRC this third contact is used to exchange data about the residual charge and why you get a percentage reading with the D200 and later cameras.Mar 30, 2012. #11.
